The first thing you will need to do is sign up at http://www.technorati.com. You can do this on the link to the lower left of the main page, that says Claim My Blog. Fill out the account info and begin the claim process. It will ask you for the URL of your blog. Once you enter that, on the next screen, choose Quick Claim. It will then ask for either the WordPress or Blogger user name and password; this lets them verify it is your blog.

Now to the good part! First you get to describe?your blog. This is your chance to use a keyword rich description to let people know what you are blogging about. Then you get a section to put in up to 20 “tags” for your blog. Basically you are getting a chance to put in 20 keywords for people to find you when they search on those tags. Take full advantage of this!!!!!

Then click on Claim My Blog. Once you have successfully claimed your blog, you will be able to see your blogs and recent posts. I also add all my friends as my favorites and you can do the same!

In addition, if you want to do an “Add A Favorite” exchange, add this blog and leave a comment below with your blog address and consider it done!

Now for even more fun! After you make a post, go to your Technorati home page. You will notice the word Ping next to your blog. Click on it, and you will go to a page with all the blogs you have claimed as yours. Then, just click Ping next to the ones that have new posts and they get updated at that point! (Some blogs do this automatically, but others will not; so when in doubt – double check!)?
