Great post and a great point. Made me look back at the stuff I had done in the past and realise that the times I had an Accountability Partner (sometimes a boss, sometimes a colleague, sometimes a business partner), I achieved more.

Then I get into IM and wonder why I’m going so slowly – because I’m working on my own and I haven’t made myself accountable to anyone. Duh!

The group's initial reluctance at accepting his revelation of a proposed marriage to a divorcee made him not only to be doubly sure the guidance he received was true, but he would have been save from error were he wrong in such a momentous decision. Others members and he had time to rethink, pray, and investigate. How I wish everyone belongs to such a group. It's a great help in avoiding many mistakes in serious decisions. Good piece.
